How It All Began

Kevin and Chloé’s love story started in the most heartwarming way—at church. One Easter Sunday, Kevin greeted Chloé and her sister as they arrived, and for Chloé, it was love at first sight. Though she didn’t see him for the rest of the service, fate had other plans. She later realized she was already following Kevin on social media, which gave them the perfect opportunity to reconnect. From there, history was made!

The Wedding Day at Water Works by Cescaphe

With its mix of rich history and modern elegance, Water Works by Cescaphe was the perfect backdrop for Kevin and Chloé’s wedding. This luxurious venue, with its columned walkways, vintage gazebo, and stunning river views, created a romantic and unforgettable setting.

The couple’s ceremony was deeply rooted in faith, reflecting the spiritual foundation of their relationship. Surrounded by family and friends, they exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony that left few dry eyes in the crowd. As a special tribute to Black history, Kevin and Chloé honored tradition by jumping the broom—a symbolic act that added even more meaning to their union.

Why Fairmount Water Works Was the Perfect Venue

Hosting a wedding at Fairmount Water Works offers couples an unparalleled blend of history, elegance, and scenic beauty. With the Philadelphia Museum of Art towering above and the shimmering lights of Boathouse Row reflecting on the water, it’s easy to see why so many couples choose this venue. It was also important to Chloé & Kevin that the venue be big enough to house all their family and friends and give the perfect backdrop as they danced the night away. Whether exchanging vows in the open air or celebrating inside the beautifully designed event spaces, Water Works by Cescaphe creates a breathtaking experience for all.

A Celebration of Love and Culture

Kevin and Chloé’s wedding was not only a celebration of their love but also a vibrant tribute to Kevin’s Sierra Leonean heritage and their shared community. The reception was filled with lively traditions that showcased the different facets of Chloe & Kevin’s culture and community. Chloé’s sorority sisters serenaded her with their signature sweetheart song, a touching moment of sisterhood. And Kevin’s fraternity brothers celebrated with a high-energy stroll.

Later in the night, the couple and their family participated in the Aso-Ebi Parade, a stunning showcase of Sierra Leonean culture. They changed into matching traditional attire and made a grand second entrance, a moment that had all eyes on them.

Capturing the Magic

Photographing Kevin and Chloé’s wedding was an absolute joy. From the intimate moments of their ceremony to the high-energy celebrations at the reception, every part of the day was a testament to their love and vibrant community.
