If the waters of the Manayunk Canal had ears, oh the conversations it would hear. During the pandemic, Ashley and Matt walked along the Manayunk Canal and had many deep talks. The kinds of conversations that build and deepen a relationship. So, when they suggested this spot for their Philly engagement photos, I was so down!
I love it when couples choose an engagement photo location that’s special and sentimental to them. It gives us a chance to build more memories in that space and helps your engagement photos really tell the story of your love which adds another layer of sentimental value to your engagement photos.
This was my first time going to the Manayunk Canal towpath. I had of course google-stalked the place beforehand to be prepared but it was a new experience shooting here for ya girl. Matt and Ashley were amazing ‘tour guides’ and already had spots in mind along the path for us to hit so it was a nice change in pace to let them take the lead on this part.
Manayunk Philadelphia
Matt and Ashley embody what I mean when I say I love couples that don’t take themselves too seriously and are just down to have a good time and get a lil silly, a lot of sweet, and a splash of cheesy. They took the prompts I gave them and ran with it and couldn’t stop laughing the entire time.
Doing your engagement photos in places and spaces that mean something to you help with that so freaking much. You already know the space so there’s already a level of comfortability built in! Engagement Sessions are about you and your love. I want your personality and your love to shine through the photographs. I have prompts to help you connect with your partner and laugh together and just have a grand ‘ol time while I capture it all. If you want these kinds of photos for yourself, slide into my inbox and lets make it happen!
Can’t wait to photograph their wedding day in Sept!
