Kylee and I had already been following each other on Instagram for a couple of months so it really already felt like we knew each other but it was so nice getting to meet her and her lovely fiance Matt in real life (irl as the kids like to say).
They picked Bartram’s Garden for their location because of the tall grass and foliage and greenery that is around every corner here. It is a 50-acre public botanical garden and National Historic Landmark in Southwest Philadelphia. Bartram’s Garden is truly one of Philly’s sorta hidden gems. We did this session late afternoon to get the beginnings of golden hour at the end to add that magical golden feel to an already amazing location.
It’s always so interesting (in the best way possible) to see the dynamics of each couple. Kylee is one of the biggest Taylor Swift fans I have ever met (but not obnoxiously so) and Matt is a guys guy with his love of all things sports. They find common ground with their love of travel and a good night out with some good food! My kind of people!!
Kylee told me that the main thing she wanted out of these photos was to look back at them and think ‘wow, we look HAPPY’. That is one of my favorite answers because that is what I wanted for them and all my couples too! I want to capture all the candid laughter and love that will make you look back on your engagement photos and think the same thing.

I love how much fun these two have with each other. From slow dancing to swings to all the cuddles this truly was an amazing experience. Kylee and Matt were so amazing running with any prompt I threw at them to bring out that genuine emotion and create some memories.
I can’t wait for their wedding next at Brandywine Manor House Inn later this summer!
