Kira told me that soon after getting engaged she envisioned having golden hour beach engagement photos and that’s exactly what we did! I suggested a couple of New Jersey beaches but Asbury Park was at the top of my list for engagement photos and that’s what they choose! I also love how they chose to wear natural colors for their engagement photos, it really complimented the environment.
We started out on Asbury Park’s boardwalk. This place is known for its spectacular boardwalk that has all the entertainment, amazing food, a movie theater (!!!), and of course, a beachfront view.
We then moved out to the beach where the warmth of golden hour was in abundance for this New Jersey beach engagement session. I gave them prompts and asked the right questions to get them laughing and savoring each other’s presence, all to create a space for candid love and joy. There were even birds flying high during some of the photos making the photos look like it came right out of a romantic comedy montage.
One of my favorite things about these two are just how laid back they are and how silly they are with one another. Trevon knows just what to do to make Kira laugh and we love to see it. They have a special bond that’s almost a decade in the making and it shows. Kira is a mix of laid back but also a ball of energy and excitement while Trevon is a mix of laid back and well… laid back. They compliment each other so well
