These 3 Philly engagement photo locations go out to my nature-lovers, my greenery gals, my foliage friends! If you know me, you know how much I love greenery and that shows when you read about my fave engagement photo locations. So let’s dive in!
Bartram’s Garden
One of Philly’s best-hidden gems! It is a 50-acre Botanical Garden located in Southwest Philadelphia. There is more foliage than your heart can even desire and in late summer tall grass springs up in the meadow and adds another layer of greenery-goodness. The meadow also has a peek of the Philly skyline in the distance that gives the place a taste of the city in the middle of all the nature. Every inch of this place is jam-packed with foliage, but the best part is that its all different types of foliage. You have the Ann Bartram Carr Garden to welcome you in that has flowers to offer you that pop of color amongst all the green. Wandering further in you have the historic garden that makes you feel more like you’re in an enchanted forest than somewhere in Philly.
Valley Forge National Park
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, there is not a corner of this park that isn’t beautiful. It’s a location that I’d honestly recommend year-round, but it’s also definitely one of my favorite places in the fall. It’s one of the best fall engagement photo locations right outside of Philly. It has endless open grass fields and meadows, a path of larger-than-life trees, and historical buildings, cottages, and monuments sprinkled throughout the grounds. These buildings and things can serve as meeting points so you’re not wandering around trying to find who you’re supposed to meet.
Fairmount Park
This park is so vast and not only offers beautiful greenery but also runs along Kelly Drive which offers you a waterfront view of the Schuylkill River. In the Spring its the go-to destination for cherry blossoms in Philadelphia. Fairmount Park is so big but like at Valley Forge, there are spots within the park that can serve as a meeting point like the Centennial Arboretum or the Ridgeland Mansion.
