Ever thought of going bar hopping for your engagement photos? If not, I would definitely recommend! I had the pleasure of doing exactly that for Kristen & Greg’s Philly Engagement Photos. This is a couple whose story unfolded through mutual love of puns, and a unique first date of trivia, Boyz II Men, and laughing so hard that their cheeks got sore.
The story culminates in a proposal that involves a stroll through Central Park, quite literally walking through memory lane. Join us as we delve into the details of this Philadelphia engagement session that celebrates the couple’s love for each other and their shared adventures.
Kristen & Greg have a mutual passion for trying new restaurants and bars. Knowing this we decided to pay homage to that and their first date, which involved an unforgettable bar-hopping experience. The engagement session took us through various iconic bars in Philly: 1 Tipling Place and the Ranstead Room. Each location provided a backdrop for capturing their genuine joy and connection.
As we moved from one bar to another, I could easily see how these two kept each other laughing so much on the first date that it made their cheeks sore the next day. From eclectic pubs to romantic cocktail bars, each setting allowed us to freeze moments that paid tribute to their love story.
After we hit up these unique Philly bars, we wanted to get some photos outside. Old City is an iconic location for Philly engagement photos, so of course that’s where we went. With it’s cobblestone pathways Elfreth’s Ally brought a charming environment to take photos in. Greg even showed us a hidden alleyway in the ally that opened up into a beautiful opening.

I can’t wait for their love story to continue this fall for their wedding right in Center City Philadelphia. Where there will be even more laughing until their stomachs hurt, tears shed, and dancing the night away in the city of brotherly love. All while surrounded by their favorite people.
