A beautiful golden hour South Jersey engagement session! I am always down for having engagement photos at locations I’ve never been to before! Especially if that location means something to you! Most of the time my couples need a little help choosing a location for their engagement session so I made it a whole section on my Engagement Session Guide, but when I first asked Michele where she wanted to have her engagement session, she already had a place lined up: Batsto Village.
This South Jersey engagement location on this November evening it was giving all the beautiful fall foliage vibes. It’s one of the best South Jersey engagement photo fall locations I’ve seen so far. It was a bit chilly this evening but Michele and Damien took it like champs and let their love warm them up (so cheesy I know, but also so true). Like always, I suggested we shoot during golden hour because the lighting is just to die for and I am always proven right, you’ll see what I mean when you scroll 😉
These two were so much fun to photograph. I loved getting to talk with them about life and wedding planning and getting to hear more about who they are as individuals and as a couple. Its so fun to get to see personalities come out more and more as the session goes on and they get more and more comfortable. Questions like “Who’s messier” led to mini debates full of teasing and laughter and just an all-around good time.
I can’t wait for their lighthearted and romantic late summer wedding at Bogeys on Putman Golf Course. Just like this engagement session location, their wedding venue is a location I’ve never been to before, but armed with years of photo knowledge and experience, I am so ready and excited to photograph their wedding day.
